oh okay, i thought u might of been stock, yes u can use it even though you don't have v-tec. But a much better way to tune your motor is to convert to obd1 (grab a p06 ecu and conversion harness) and get it street tuned, or even dyno tuned

u still need to get the vafc tuned.
Don't even get me started about using a vafc to tune a boosted car.....ask wieRtech about how his car ran with the afc hack and how it runs now that hes using crome.
The way a vafc works is it changes the MAP sensor reading, to trick the ecu into think its running under different conditions. As you increase/decrease the fuel (with the vafc) you are retarding/advancing the ignition timing....now i shouldn't need to explain why this is bad....especially with a boosted car.
With a boosted car, its necessary to have an ignition retard depending on the psi. With a vafc you have no controlled timing control (it changes as you change the fuel, like i explained above) which can be quite dangerous under even moderate boost.
I don't see why you would want to cheap out on something as extremely important as engine management, especially when you've already spent that much money on the boost setup.
You get what you pay for....bottom line.

vafc
crome pro

night and day difference and probably about 50 hp. mind you i only tuned the vafc myself and i know jack squat about tuning, but i'm far more happy with a proper setup on crome pro. my afr's are where i want them and everything is going to be much more reliable and versatile in the long run when i turn the boost up.

definitely worth shelling out a few extra bucks for proper tuning. i've said it before and i'll say it again, no one ever has time or money to do something right the first time, but when it blows then they have to make time and spend a lot more money to get it right the second time.

save yourself the headache. i get zeeman to take care of all my tuning.
