can i use a v-afc instead of a s-afc?

can i use a v-afc instead of a s-afc?

iv got a non vtec dohc zc motor and iv got a turbo kit im gonna b installing shortly, now for fuel management i want to use a s-afc and 450dsm injectors, these r harder to come by used but i do see alot of v-afc for sale used........can i use this or will it not work?

well they are easier to find in the dsm community so check that out...but yes you can use a vafc you will jsut not have the vtec hookup so...check the dsm boards for used afc's if it matters to you...

was posted b4... but yes u can use a vafc with a non-vtec motor just without hooking up the vtec :P

i also have a dohc zc and i am lookin for more power, what kinda turbo setup are you gonna run, and what are the costs involved, will it still be relieable?

once im said and done it'll b around 2grand done and finished...im running a homemade kit at 11psi..it'll stillb reliable as long as u do everything correct and get it tuned...

that sounds kind of high, maybe 7 or 8 psi, but 11? i dont know man

Screw stock block at 11psi.....some motors can take it but....
What about Stock map sensor at 11psi = CEL

I'm interested to see how well the afc hack works first hand. Cause Ive read mixed reviews on people who run with it.

Uberdata on the other hand seems to be a lil safer albeit you need to know how to set your a/f and ignition. Datalogging with a wideband 02 would prolly help out its case.

There's a guy in the states running 12.7 in a 4th gen with a d16z6 turbo that's daily driven. I'm guessing to get those times he's gotta be more then 7-8 psi and it's stock internals.

^^^^^^^ yup, the stock block will hold 11psi, theres tons of guys on homemadeturbo runniong over 11psi on there....im hoping with 11psi, my built dohc zc motor and lsd zc tranny and slicks in my car gutted will hiy 12's in the 1/4 tuned properly and on a drag radial tire.

meh if she bvlows she blows, honda motors r cheap enuff to buy...with the right management it'll b fine....
