i really want an exhaust system soon. can u guys list really good, inexpensive cat bach exhausts that are sorta loud but not "ricer" loud. anything up to 400-500 bux. I like the Apex world sport and the comptech cat back. are they any good? by the way my car is a 98 civic coupe ex. THANX A MILLION

as far as I remember those are both Ricy loud, as you call it..lol

If you want a nice sound, then get a custom exhaust done with a good highflow cat and a few resonators... Maybe go with a magnaflo muffler, or if you like the can style mufflers, get one with a silencer.... if you really want a catback system, be prepared to spend over 8 bills for something decent..

You might be able to get a full custom exhaust done for around 500$ depending on how much you spend on the muffler... highflow cats are around 150$ ... check the clasifide section, i saw a guy selling the good ones for 100$... maybe find a used muffler.. then spend 200-250 on the custom install with 2 1/4' pipe all the way back... dont go any bigger than that if u dont plann on running turbo...

I just read your other thread on the EL.. and noticed your in the US.. so keep in mind those prices ive been telling you are cdn funds... so maybe you can find a catback for around 5bills...?

APEX WS is not a ricey exhaust in any way......Quiet and low profile. I think its a very nice exhaust.

contact lordm if you want the Apex WS. I think that many people have stated that it's quiet during normal driving(like stock). Low Rumble in open throttle. Excellent Catback that's not too restrictive. I would buy it if I had the money.

WS = good exhaust...comptech looks like a very good exhaust...looks almost stock....havne't ever heard it but comptech makes good stuff

Ive heard sample audio clips of the comptech, it sounded really bad... they look good tho

I had the Apex-i WS catback on my old 1.6EL. I was more than happy with it. It sounds almost stock in normal low rpm driving, but still has a nice not overly loud tone when you really get on the gas.
