Pissed off

Got my upper control arms changed cuz my upper balljoints were gone and it HAS improved BUT my car still has a little wiggle to it. Now I'm ******* pissed cuz i dont know where to look next. I know my tires are **** and unbalanced, but i think it might be cuz my shocks are too **** for my springs.

wiggle, as in there is play in the steering wheel?

Tie rods and/or steering rack are the next places to look.

or another method is to come to a meet and have someone else (that understands wiggles and shakes...) drive the car.... and tell you whats wrong

did you go for an alignment after getting them changed? how's the lower ball joints?

I recently developed the same issue... when I get my car back I'm going to 1st rebalance my wheels. Then I'm going to get my buddy to look at it for me.

I'd imagine manual steering racks wouldnt cost that much if it came down to it.

sorry guys i forgot to mention that i just came back from duffferin/dupont alignment (they only charged me $40 woohoo!) and got my **** aligned and it still wiggles.

Bruno - yes, sometimes I can feel (while holding the steering wheel) like every move my suspension is making. If I'm on the highway and I go over a series of bumps at high speed my car literally wiggles left to right and sometimes over uneven road one side of the car will dip following the road and the other wont and it feels all fucked up. When he checked to see if they can even do the alignment he said everything else looks good. But im assuming they only check what they need to be good for an alignment. So now im all stumped like a ******* TREEE.

your wheel points all crooked while the car goes straight?? dear god, that's not a very good alignemnt... I know what you mean about the wandering of the car. It's very likely that your steering rack is gone, but before you spend more money on it, go to a real front end shop that is actually reputable, and ask them their opinion. Another $60 for them to look at it now will save you money in the long run. wheel and tire zone has a good reputation.

Look at the part where I said RECENTLY... ****

Back to the thread, I'm willing to bet my LCA bushing is toast.

i just took the car to wheel and tire and one of the guys drove my car around...he said it's not terribly bad and i should get a 4 wheel alignment re-done...and he also thinks my rear shocks need to be upgraded to koni red's or something and my front are 'acceptable'

if your steering wheel is crooked, chances are youve got a bent part somewhere....did you hit anything in the past? like a curb or something?

As for this:

check the speed rating on your tires....or maybe your tires are unbalanced
