i was wondering if anyone has any expience builind an all motor zc, i aint really a turbo guy, i have found some 11-1 pistons which can be a start, but i dont know what kind of valvetrain will work with the zc, there are a few brands that sell cams.

not super common to see a high hp dohc zc...I have saw some from searching the net over the year's...I remember one had a lot of mugan (hard to find) stuff in it..ran low 14's in a crx...

your looking at gettign some hks cams (or regrinds if your not out for big hp and on a bduget)

some hks cams
valve springs
retainers(crower)
port and polished head
good forged piston (alteast 11:1)
good rods (eagle rods)
knife edged crank
balanced bottom end
maybe a block guard on a budget to give the sleeves abit more strenght or block studding

a afc to tune or a zydne stand alone (this is what you want)

if you have a good P&p on the head and good cams with nice compression you should come otu with soem decent hp numbers...your gonna be looking at turning 8500-8800 rpms I woudl assume on soem gnarly hks cams

a budget setup is this

regrind cams
self P&p on head
pistons (forged 11:1)
ls rods (b18b rods machined to fit)
balanced bottom knife edged crank
afc to tune
zc lsd tranny

Those HKS cams are gonna be tough to find.

Jun also makes DOHC ZC cam's.

Regrinds are nice, but you have to get them from the right place.......as for the hp part, they (any place like crower) will make them how ever you want them, you want 5hp from them or if you want 22 hp from them. Them will make them the way you want them......................................

most of the DOHC zc parts are interchangable with an 89 teg.

^^maybe ...but you can get jdm zc parts liek special edyne pistons and eagle rods yada yada.....dude after all is said and done you might aswell jsut go out and buy the jackson racing supercharer kit for the zc and make more power cheaper..and with 310 injecotrs and a afc to tune can make clean reliable hp....

i am not in to boost, i like all motor, i found a machine shop that converts the zc head to use a ls valvetrain. they have some pretty crazy stuff
