air/fuel gauge

air/fuel gauge

who here knows the easiest way to hook up a air fuel mixture gauge,i ran a wire from the single o2 sensor wire no go,no luck,what iam i missing.thanks all.

did you give it time to heat up Brett??
the o2 sensor i mean..
can sometimes take up to 10 minutes before it'll start sending a signal..

btw, moving to perf./suspension

i guess nah,the only thing that got heated up was me,i'll next weekend,thanks for the info.

Brett, hi!

He's right, non heated O2 sensors take a while to heat up. Until they heat up, the lights don't come on. Have you checked for power there though... Dunno about yours, mine had 3 wires I think, power, ground, and signal.

do you get any lights on your gauge?
if you connected them properly the minute you start your car or turn the ignition to acc, the a/f lights will all light up, starting from lean, all the way to rich, but because the temperature on single wire 02 sensors take a fair bit to heat up, you'll have one green light on the Rich meter. thta's what mine does, it stays on that until my sensor heats up, and than it goes down.
hope that helps, and your 1st o2 sensor wire should be plug C16 or a white wire.

i put one in my rex, i ran the senor cable and spliced it into the o2 sensor wire. then i just ran the constant power to the lighter and grounded it, and mine works fine. if you need help,let me know and i can help ya out

single wire o2 sensor,i want to run it from the ecu,so there is no wire running throuh the engine compartment,i installed it where the center vents used to be,i made a panel and screwed it onto what the vents used to be part of,and took the power from the clock pin connector,along with the lights for a boost gauge,any more thoughts,does it sound right or wrong,any help is great,thanks guys.
