Got an 89 si, looking to turn it into a project car....i need specs on rims ie. offset on the stock 14's...what offset i should consider when buying 16 or 17's etc etc...any help is appreciated...

As For Stock SI rims, they're 185/60R14

For 15", u wanna get 195/50R15...in that case, it will not affect the accuracy of you speedometer reading.

For 16"...205/40R16
Anything above 16" will need someone else to help you out!

You can even go with the 205/50/15....you know the old passat rim size. I personal had 195/50/15......but the 16 do look phatter...as a rule of thumb only go as high as a +2....any more...you'll lose performance....but if you are just posing then maybe that's ok.....but I doubt it.
