hi, i am looking for the 2 engine mounts, the ones with the rubber insert part inside that are for the lower front mounts. anyways, a buddy of mine has some from his 6th gen civic and i need them for my 5th gen. I have taken a look at other 6th gen and they look very similar, will they work?

there the same thing im pretty sure, go look it up on www.slhonda.com and see if the part numbers are the same.

I can't remember if those rubber pieces are interchangeable or not for 5th vs 6th gen....but i'll let you know how you can tell....

Take 1 of your mounts off 2x 14mm bolts.
Check the top of the piece (the piece looks like a "D" look along the straight edge where it rests up against the frame rail). If you have a "notch" cut in the top, you'll need to make sure the new mount has the notch int it aswell, or it won't bolt up properly to the frame. thats about all you need to look for on the new mounts to see if they are compatible.

So, you don't need engine mounts, you need front torque mounts, right?
