4g civic si for zc swap

k guys im sorry if this has been asked 1 million times, i did a search on zc swaps but didnt really find wut i wanted, im lookin to buy a 4g civic preferably 91 must be si and the shop i go to has a zc motor there with tranny he will give it to me for 750 tax in. so im told all i need is a 89 teg ecu, scrapper (wut ever fits in pocket is free :P) and if the cv shafts are aftermarket then i will need different drive axels? im not sure if im correct on that one
also do i need to cut or splice any wires? im plannin on doing the swap myself at school in my autoshop wit a friend.

does any one have a 1/4 mile time on a 4g civic with zc intake exhaust header? just curious an estimated time, my buddy always talks **** with his rx7 but hes gettin a turbo 13b so he will tear me a new one  but any help on this topic would be appreciated

hey there, $750 for the engine and tranny is a decent price for the motor, I payed a bit cheaper for mine. You don't need an integra ecu, it will run a bit better b/c of the greater fuel mapping and timing and also a greater rev limiter to bring you up to 7200 rpm. If you buy a 91 Si you won't have any problems running your zc with it, I ran mine over a year with the Si ecu. There is no need to modify your wiring if your dropping the motor into an Si. But if you drop it into a dx,cx, etc you have to convert DPFI TO MPFI. Dented dx ran mid 15's with his zc, will see this summer what I do with mine

'Teg ECU will give you a rev limit of 8000rpm. However dist. problems seem to increase with it.
The Si will take you to 7200rpm and will give you a higher speed limit (about 200-210kph)
Not sure about the 'teg ECU though.

I get my "new" CRX tomorrow so after I break it in, I'll have to see what it can really do!

ok great thx for the input,
with the si ecu is that a 7200 fuel shut off? or redline cause the zc has a 7000 redline and ill b pushin that on most shifts hehe i woudlnt wanna go over that limit, accually another question, if u run into high rpms and hit fuel shut off wut happens? like damage to ur engine etc? im kinda a nub

Here we go again
I don't know where your getting your info from...and I don't want to start crap on here again like I was when I was trying to sell my ecu.
The teg ecu's limiter is at 7200 RPM!!!!!
and if u don't believe me I will have to prove to you someday, come in my car and i'll show u the limiter in action
The Si also stopped at around 6500 rpm when I had it in my car.
How did u get ur Si up to 7200 b/c when I used to race it wouldn't budge over 6500 rpm. your ecu is probably chipped.
I don't understand why no one believes me, why would I make this **** up.
You'll see when u get ur "new" car tomorrow

hahaha ok ok ok i believe u ok so the rev limiter just wont let it go ne farther?? thats it .
is there a fuel shutoff in that ecu?

so which one would u reccomend the si or teg

im assuming the teg since u can get to 7200

yeah my blue si doesn't make **** up, he may talk smack. lol..no i'm kidding, serious note, he doesn't make **** up, i wouldn't know about the rev limiter adn stuff cuz i never take my motor all the way up with my motor. but listen to My Blue Si, he speaks the truth, and he's been runing with a ZC for a while.

I wasn't doubting u Biggy, just had a problem in a thread a while back and trying to clarify it again.
The best ecu is the jdm zc ecu, the actual one but they are hard to find. Second best would be the 88-89 teg ecu and the average usable ecu would be ur stock Si. Like I said the Si still works and the car still ran incredible with it in, I was still beating sir's and gsr's with that ecu so there's not much power lost by using it.
thx nautica The only way I can prove people right is when I physically prove them wrong by actually showing them, which im willing to do on my free time
On a side not i've been running my motor for too long, time for a change when I get a hold of some loot

Hey My Blue Si, I'm just saying what I've been told all the time from the other CRX'ers with ZC swaps and 'teg ECU's. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong.
As for my ECU its not chipped. It stock. I'd film a clip of me revvin to 7200rpm, which is the rev limit on the CDN CRX Si.
Reason I'm not gonna do it is because I have to break in my engine before I do crazy stuff.
Not that I took it to the rev limit too often.
I'll probably go out to a meet this summer and I'll show ya man.
No hard feelings.

Anyways though, the redline starts at 6500rpm on the CRX and fuel cuts off at 7200rpm.

i.c i.c, no im just saying b/c of my old thread but screw it who cares I shouldn't have brought it up in the first place. The cdn crx and civic si should be the same b/c they use the same ecu/motor so that's what im saying. I had an 89 crx si ecu in my car and the limiter stopped me at 6500. We'll meet this summer, I'll show you
