~~~~power steering question~~~~~~~~~~
my steer wheel is kind of heavy to make it turn..
my friend said i should change the oil in the steer wheel so it will be smoother..is that true?..
and i have tried to drive another 92 civic hb..the steer wheel is hard to turn also~is that the power steering problem?....
thx~~
first of all , check the fluid level of the power steering, may be low
other then that if you don't have a 92-95 si or ex civic -then u don't have ps
92-95 civic cx,dx,vx, have no power steering
so you have sticky tires? I know on my car when I put stock tires/rims on, the steering gets much MUCH lighter.
Also an allignment can help make the sterring much smoother. I noticed after my allignment my steering was a bit loser and it was very noticeable when I made turns afterwards. BTW this is for a non ps vehicle.
or look on the right hand side of the cylinder head and if you see a pulley with a belt around it, you have power steering (that is the ps pump)
