St.Thomas... we came... we saw.. we conquered...

Amongst the elite and powerful "Moto town Muscle" arose a small fleet of 4 bangers sporting the "H" symbol...

As we passed they stared and snarled....

Boy, were they in for a surprise... As the day went by... the loyal "H" barers, blared down the track pulling quicker and quicker ETs.

Then the real treat was when a metalic blue EG H/B emerged from the white trailer of Splitfire Performance. As they made their first pass it was already quick enough.. 10s... and eventually in their record territory.. a 9.76.

Not too shabby for a 4 banger compared to the growling, raw, power of a V8.

HOLY FAK AH!! What's the setup on that car? Would've liked to see their faces after the board flashed the ET.

Import guys --> <-- domestic guys

yea that civic sounded nuts going down the track...they actually made two 9 second passes

my cousins B20B powered 93 DX hatch surprised us with 14 second passes all day, best one was 14.4 @ 95.9mph

with a 96mph trap speed we believe the car is capable of 14.0-14.1 on street tires...not bad for no vtec

both CRXs that ken brought improved thier times through out the day....maybe you'll get that 13.9 next time, eh?

The splitfire Civic sports a done up B16 motor turbocharged...

Yes, thats right, I said B16 powered Civic...

Still, they are 6 10ths of a second off the record but we'll see what they are able to accomplish this year.

I am looking forward to some good battles between , Serge Mike and Paul this year!

Regards,
OK

As for Team KS-R... We went to test and tune... and that we did.

We were aiming for 13.99 with a new setup in a CRX but were just shy with a 14.0316 @ 98mph...

The other was another CRX but with a turbo ZC.. Unfortunately for that one we were only able to pull off high 14 second passes. Yet another shy of our goal... low 14s.

With some results for us to work on.. We'll hopefully make some more improvements for next time around.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaa? REALLY?!!?!?!?!?!

I wonder if its cause of all the electrical problems he was having last year.. He attended a couple of races where his car just shut down on him.. Still having the same problem or just lost interest in competing?

Regardless, Paul and Serge should put on a good show.. I plan on attending most weekends that I have off and booking those off that I can't get off in the normal course of shift rotation.

Regards,
OK

Hahaha - if you are talking about Serge from Altech then you have heard something WRONG. When you see his car come out of the shop this spring/summer you will see that there is no way in hell it will ever be street legal again.

Now, I think Serge does have a daily driver though - but has more than enough things on his plate to worry about. I don't think he gives two ***** about the "street boys". I may be wrong but he is a respected person in the Canadian and now US import race scene...he is not going to want to get involved in the Woodbridge Coffee Time bs.

I agree with Dan..

If you are talking about the Yellow Altech Civic then you are sorely mistaken...

Wait till you see what was done to this puppy over the winter.. In fact there are new pictures on the Altech website from Speed O Rama 2002..

http://www.altechperformance.com

In regards to the "street scene" I also agree with Dan.. Serge is working on his 9 second NHRA license right now and in no way would he jeapordize that with foolish street runs.

Regards,
OK

No bolts on other than a "Ractive" intake and a Borla exhaust for the CRX.. and the same thing for the EG h/b with the B20.
