Drag Event @ St. Thomas - April 6th

HondaRacing has invited TCC to join them at St. Thomas Dragway on April 6th for some Test 'n Tune 1/4 mile runs....details can be viewed here

http://www.hondaracing.ca/NonCGI/For...ML/000544.html

Maybe we can all pitch in and buy stuff for a BBQ - so the non-racers will have something to do besides watch... with the amount of people expected to be there it'll be a nice way to kick off the summer.

If you're interested in going reply to this thread...and if you want to help with the BBQ, please contact a member of our staff.

I can't make it to this event because I have too work. If you guys need some burgers or dogs for the barbeque let me know, my family owns a butcher shop.
I think Michelle is gonna go.

I'm tryin to get the kilometers on my car and the rims and tires in before the event but I dunno if I'll have the later before the 6th..

They said 10 days at wheels direct and that was on Thursday

I may also have to work that day at 5:00PM so the event might be a write off for me.

Regards,
OK

shiet - it isn't really looking good for me either.

I have a grading session on that day and the time has not been set yet...but I'm sure it will be somewhere between 12 and 3.

The best I can hope for is for it to be at noon and then drive to St.Thomas after that and watch.

Also, to get the car ready for the track will take some time and prep...gotta get it lowered again and put the c/f hood back on...and I'm just not convinced the weather is going to behave enought to do that...argh...decisions decisions.

I hear that Dan... although I'm SOL on the Carbon Fiber Hood bit for at least a couple of months cause I had to spend $220 to get two pieces of my car fixed (door hinges on drivers side, and lil plastic window sealing on passenger side).

So with the money spent on lowering, rims, tires, internals etc. I'm a lil tapped out..

Maybe get a CF hood later on in the year unless I can convince Altech to sponsor me

Regards,
OK

I hear that about fixing liitle things and it costing some good coin.

When I lower my car again I am getting 4 suspension bushings replaced and those plus labour is like $250...even though it will help out the over all ride...well - you get the idea.

I am desperately trying to save too and this type of stuff just keeps popping up... and plus I have to battle with myself on a daily basis not to do any impulse buys - argh.

I was supposed to go into Toronto today to put a downpayment on my rims and tires at Wheels Direct but its SNOWING!!!!

Can you believe it?

Not just a few flakes either but real hard snow

if it is like this not only will there be no BBQ - but no event.

It's tough to get a good 60' when you are in a 6" of the white stuff.

*sobs* I wanted to go to Toronto today too

Me no drive in this weather.. Its literally a very strong storm here in Burlington with maybe 50 foot visibility..

Apparently Niagara Region is worse...

We'll see how long it lasts, but I don't think I'll be making WD anytime today.

Regards,
OK
