Lapping Days???
So I've been reading about these Lapping Days that are happening at local tracks (Dunnville and Shannonville) and I'm wondering exactly whats involved.
I've also read that they will teach you alot about correct lines, braking points and car control, but burn up tires and brakes.
Thoughts?

Schools will teach you drive lines and techniques. Self-pay lapping days are basically get-in and drive type of deal. Unless you know someone, it is hard to get a ride from stranger and ask them to teach you a thing or two.
Stock cars are no problem, but some organizers will require you to bring helmets. The more basic your car is and the less skill you have, the slower you go - so you can be safe and be safe to others. New drivers should but hazard lights on so people can pass you.

yeah schools are where you learn stuff.
check out www.carcontrolschool.com for more info on schools. Ian Law is a great instructor
if you just want lapping check out www.beperformance.com Battle endless is a supportor of the club and the competition forum and puts on lapping and drift events throughout the summer.
also this thread belongs in the competition forum.

go with the BE guys and get one of them to take you for a spin. you won't learn all the lines right away but you'll get an idea. then just hit the track yourself and learn. keep your hazards on, wave people by when they come up behind you until you can start going faster and faster.
