hi everyone, today i was given a cheap brand-new supercharger from a friend of mine. It comes with a filter,tubing and a few wires. He has the same one running on his klze mx3 and said it was easy to install and got some a good amount of pull from it..
i was wondering if i could run it on my jdm ek's d16y8 with stock internals..would it work? is it safe? would it really be easy to install? would it be worth it to install for the some time? im more on the looks side anyway..but it would also be good to have a little extra power..plus i dont think it can go that fast an inch off the ground in the gta anyway.

Is this a supercharger kit for a d16? If not, it will most likely take some serious modification to make it work.

Supercharging a stock engine is fine, as long as you get it tuned and have the apropriate supporting mods. These mods include larger fuel injectors, a walbro 255lph fuel pump, chipped ecu for the tuning, upgraded clutch (to hold the extra power you'd be making) and a decent exhaust system, so the engine can breathe.

Easy to install? Not so much, but its not too bad.
