No such thing as d16a6 dohc zc?????
Two completely different engines. And unless your adding boost to your Dohc ZC then forget it......there the worst engine to build considering there is zero aftermarket support for it.

But its a proven fact that non vtec sohc d's can handle mre power from a building point of view. There are less componets then vtec engines and can handle bigger cams.
I built my sohc non vtec ZC from the ground up with a high compression ratio and its making 161whp after tune.
listen to T-mack...

I was researching his sohc non vtec build and i found this on D-series:

^^Thanks.
If you want to no the secret to building a decent all motor D. Just start from the bottom up. And talk to Bisi at www.bisimoto.com this is my boy. He makes the best sohc cams in the market and has the best customer service. This is if you are serious about building your D N/A. Bisi currently holds the world record for fastest Sohc at 9.40" at 144mph. His car is a f22 non vtec beast making 450whp!

If your going to turbo and engine just get a 1.8L Bseries or an F22
Ds are fine but why mess around with a 1.6?

Why would'nt you??? Vitaras and eagle rod combo on your D block and you can be pushing 400+hp for half the cost of what it would take to push that out of a B16??
And buy the way Bisi's making 450whp N/A with his F22 non vtec.

I know for a fact that if you build and turbo a D, your torque numbers are insane. I seen one at the dyno last year that did 221hp and 173tq at the wheels. Those are some really nice numbers.
