Speedo Problem
I'm having a little problem and I'm wondering if anyone can help. I recently did an engine swap (gsr head and b20 block) into my 1997 Acura EL. I also put in an SiR cluster. Now my speedo doesn't work. The swap came from a 1996 Honda Civic coupe and it worked perfectly fine. Anyone got any suggestions

If you have a VSS problem you'll have a CEL come on. Are the rest of the gauges working? Did you need to re-pin the cluster... did you do it right, lol? Was there a switch in computers, and everything wired correctly?

The ECU is from the other car.
All other gauges ( RPM, Temp, Gas ) work
What do you mean by re-pinning the cluster?

I'm getting an engine light, when i jumped the code it came up VSS. The problem is i don't know what tranny i have on this setup. My friend has a GSR tranny that i can part out, but i compared the VSS's and they don't look the same. Are all b-series VSS's the same?

Check your plug. My VSS plug was crappy. I would change VSS, I had 2, one type r one b16. Once I changed it, it would work. Then stop everyonce in a while. Finally, I got so furious, I cut off the plug, and pinned it with female pins/clips. 3 or 4 pins. Then soder it together.
Mission accomplished.
(not suggesting, but check it out)
