Doesnt make any sense though?
why not use the OEM regular head gasket and normal bolts? thats assuming the head wasnt warped but if it was, the special gasket and special bolts wont do anything...

^True.

Maybe the best thing to do would be to have the head resurfaced anyways to make sure it's good and use the normal oem head bolts and gasket...

finished.

I damaged the water bypass hose when I pulled it out of the head. Good thing Honda makes the loop so long. All I had to do was pull the hose and cut and inch off the end then reattach it. NP

No more smoke. For now.

I used the new style bolts and head gasket.

Car is running way better now.

This gives me some time to decide what to do with her. Either do a swap or buy another civic.

This car is auto though. My wife hates not having a stick to play with.

I don't think I am up to an auto to standard swap.
