Radiator

There is a hole in my rad - Is it worth replacing with a OEM one or an aftermarket one? Car is a 1999 Honda Civic SI. Thanks!

Get oem replacement rad. Don't go to honda unless you got too much $ but any replacement rad from part source/crappy tire will do fine.

Check out JDM stores. My friends integra rad had a problem, and he picked one up for $60 from Direct Japan in Mississauga

Heck, look around in the classifieds here on tcc or on kijiji. Tons of rads for sale that will last another billion years for dirt cheap. Especially the civic half-rads. You could even go to an autowreckers and find one in good condition for cheap...

Don't always feel like you have to resort to buying brand-new parts, unless you have lots of money to throw around or it's a good deal.

The ones found on kijiji are ironically the same vendors that are selling them here. Haven't seen any used ones... $60 for a brand new one seems pretty decent -Too bad everyone is freaking closed today.

I've only bought new rads but thats because i always get a deal from few shops i know.

new is better than used in any case but if you find a rad in good condition, it will last you a very long time.

I paid $100 for mine, I ended up getting new hoses while I was at it, so it came up to $115 and yeah.. new is the way to go. If its new and legit for $60.. I say go for it
