Hey guys,

I need to replace my engine for my civic and was wondering if there is any advice you guys can give me along with any directions on where to go. Can i replace the engine with a 2.0 liter vtec si engine or is 1.7 L the only one that fits. Also how much will putting a different engine cost me roughly.

But more importantly, how much am i looking at if i was just to replace the engine without upgrading it. Any particular places that i can trust, that would give me a warranty, and reasonably priced?

If you swap to the k20 (2.0L) engine, you'll also need to swap the transmission and a few other things.

There is lots of info out there on the internets. I'm not too familiar with doing swaps in the 7th gen civics.

for k swap or j swap, youre looking at about 5-7k $$ with just about everything.

Thats too much out of my range. Guess im going to have to get the same engine replaced. Can anyone refer me to a good place that does a good job, fairly cheap?

I have called around, and the prices fluctuate. They have ones that are sent from japan that have like 80 km, that are much cheaper then the used from here with higher km. Can anyone give me any details on this. Also if anyone can direct me the right way on where to go and what to look out for.
