valvetrain is proven to be good stuff. as for the Pro3 cams for turbo, i don't think it's a good idea as they're pretty aggressive N/A cams and the lift and duration would be too much for F/I.

i don't know the extent of your build but i'm thinking even a set of '98 spec ITR cams should do the job well, unless you buy some turbo-specific cams for your build.

for just resurfacing/cleaning up I use Athenia Machine in Hamilton, on the mountain, just off Nebo Road.

About the cams, it depends on your setup. What are you using for a turbo kit?
Big cams don't work well on a basic turbo setup, like a log manifold and smaller exhaust.

worth the drive. wouldn't be a long drive as he's right off the QEW at the Etobicoke/Mississauga border.
He has been specializing in imports since the begining.

gord bush is definately the man.....but when it comes to just getting a head resurfaced/cleaned up the place I use in Hamilton is more than sufficient. Athenia Machine has good prices and fast service. I've been using this machine shop for years without any problems. They specialize in domestic V8's, so I wouldn't have him build me an engine, or port a head, for that Gord Bush is the man.

^Okay thanks.
What kind of money would i be looking at for a block to be hot tanked, check cylinders for wear and a hone (as long as it's in spec of course)?

polishing the ports will do nothing. If you read up on porting you'll see that how smooth the ports surfaces are yeild no beneficial gains.

If anything, get it gasket matched, I'm sure they'll be able to do this for you.

As for porting the head, the only man i'd let port my head is Gord Bush

I emailed gord bush today and he said to clean, inspect, hone and resurface my B20z block would be about $220.
Not too bad at all.
