How do i get more power out of B16A2

i have a imported JDM EG SiR and wanted to get more power out my B16A2 engine... I'm looking to get better performance out of the car by just simply using Honda parts and not after market...

can you guys suggest what bolt on components (excluding engin swap) from other models i can use to improve performance, please specify year and model. ie throttle body, headers... etc...

again I'm not looking for after market stuff i like to keep my car purely Honda brand...

so far the only thing I've done is shave inside of the air box.
NGK spark plugs and wires

ITR cams, valvesprings and retainers, ITR intake manifold and throttle body, JDM ITR exhaust manifold. That would be the best of the OEM stuff.
Hell you could swap the whole ITR head over, its the same casting (PR3) just has some factory porting and better valvetrain/valves/cams/intake manifold/throttle body/exhaust manifold.
Tuning will also help bring it all together, after you do all of the mods you want to do.

:S:S:S im sorry i just cant see the reason why youd want to use authentic honda parts i mean if you really are going to do all that to your car put the aftermarket stuff in. It was meant to exceed and un hinge your cars potential. i mean if it was a classic car like a 67 mustang i can understand cuz the value of that will be ridiculous in the future but ya a civic hmmm.

just my 2 cents srrry

And who said the value of my car wont be ridiculous in the future, lol
i don't want to have a the fastest civic out there, and since a lot of ITR guys mod their cars chances are i can get their oem parts for cheap... that's all, call it modding your car while in an economic depression

and to be honest, from my experience tuning cars, b16s don't really like huge cams. In fact, ITR cams work very well in b16s.

Yes people mod their type-R's, but at the same time, they know their old parts are wanted by many so they usually fetch a premium b/c they're "type-R" parts.
For example, ITR cams usually sell for $300-400, sometimes you'll find a set for $200-250 though. I sold my crane stage2 cams for $250. ITR intake manifolds usually go for $100-200. I bought my brand new AEBS intake manifold for under $200. So it might not necessarily be cheaper to use ITR (OEM) parts, but they do work well on b16s.

I'm not trying to increase the performance for resale purposes, just for my driving pleasure, i know any money i put in to the car wont come back, I've done a lot of modding in the past but with BMW's not Honda's, this is my winter car for most part and i love it, cause i think EG civic are the best looking hatches ever made.

btw, my car it may be a civic but its more rare then NSX and ITR in Canada, its a right hand drive SiR, now how many oem EG SiR to you see on the road?? now i dont mean its worth anymore then the others but it sure is more rare then them... lol

well theres a few RHD EG/EF runing around GTA.. i even seen ONE prelude
if ur lookin into performance increase u can go for aftermarket parts.. its a little less then OEM type r parts is im some case u'll prob end up with a little more HP... if tunned.. even if u get type r parts u'll have to tune it neways for HP

As jbm civic said he knows he will not get the money back from the car and does not intend to sell it. He just wants it for his own driving pleasure.
