It seems more people are getting butt hurt over not having a "K" or saying its a waste of money.
Well yeah it is a waste of money if you make under $20,000 a year. But when you make over $65,000 a year, things are a'lot more accesible to you and all of a sudden don't become a waste of money.

I don't know man, even $6000 if you're doing it yourself and cheaping out on everything is a waste IMO if you're only getting the same power a $3500-4000 ITR swap gets.

Honestly, I could care less what other people have in their car, or what they want to do to their cars. Its their money, spend it how you want. As you get older, you will realize there are other more important things in life than blowing $10,000 on a car, like a mortgage, family and friends.

What everyone in this thread is forgetting, is the question that the OP asked. Who cares which engine can make more power n/a or boosted, the OP got his answer and seems to have made his decision.

I am old 33, and have a kid and a house on the water. I make a'lot of money and whatever I want I get. Both my cars are paid for and Im thinking of getting a new 4 door SI. Thats why you work, so you can afford these things when your older. I've had enough b-swaps to shake a stick at. So I would'nt call it blowing money if you have it. Im not taking mine to the grave Im enjoying life as it goes.

good for you.

To each their own.

In my opinion, spending money modifying cars is blowing money. Modding cars is not an investment and there is no return for the money spent, other than the personal enjoyment one gets from their car. Once the enjoyment stops one should stop spending the money.

I wasn't speaking about you specifically T-Mack, i'm just saying, as you get older your priorities change. I don't spend nearly the amount of money on my car now as I did when I was younger. Its not that I don't have the money to spend, its just that (1) doing this for a living kinda kills the hobby and (2) I don't want to spend the money on my car anymore.

I knew you were'nt.
And I agree when I was younger my life revolved around my car and having a parts list that never ended.
Now that I have a job that consumes a'lot of my time plus with the family. The one thing I look forward to is my cars, and enjoying them. Its still my favourite hobby.
