k20vs turbo b series

I bet you mugen power has built more engines than all of you guys combined (not trying to start a pissing match, just trying to show his experience with this stuff).
I think what he was saying is that to do the k-swap, then build the engine the way that one (from the dyno graph he posted) cost at least $12,000. Pistons, cams, custom header, ITB's, K-pro, super high compression....even if the K was already in the it would have still cost a buttload to make that kind of power.
Of course a larger displacement engine, with newer technology is gunna make more power reliably than a 10 year old engine with almost a .5L less displacement.
Yo, my 350ci chevy small block makes way more power than your K-swap and it cost half the price....lol.
We're not saying a K-swap is costing $12,000 (you'd have to be a gigantic toolbox to pay that kinda coin), we're saying when you do a K-swap then build it to make 250+whp its gunna cost at least $12,000.
K's are great engines, but still quite expensive to swap into older chassis'.

K swap = Over-rated, expensive
A proper turbo set-up on a B = more than you would expect for the same price
Plus, when you have B mounts you have a number of options for engines. B engines are cheaper to buy and cheaper to build.

MAN pretty sure Zeeman is not hating on K-series guys!!! Zeeman knows his stuff he tuned my friend's black sir with type r motor!! he is just stating that it would be cheaper to go b series turbo then k series!!!!! don't you guys look at the OP "K20 vs turbo B-series" he is just stating the truth and which motor is better for the guy that made up this post!!!! take it eZ!! k-series ppl stop...we know K is better in all aspect but just money wise its still costing quite a penny for the swap!!! Zeeman just thinks it is over rated (just an opinion) if you don't think so then leave it!! don't get hyped up over it!!!

A turbo'd B16 without any internal mods will cost around 8g's installed and put down around 250whp at 8-10psi max. That's a used B16 with a new turbo, piping, intercooler, bov, etc.

but so is the k series.
