h22 vs. gsr
#21
My B16 has over 200k on it and it doesn't smoke and doesn't burn a lot of oil either. And I don't exactly drive it like a granny. But I do take care of it properly. Use synthetic oil, timing belt and water pump every 100k...the usual stuff.
Maybe you just had a sour apple?
My point is, they aren't all like that.

But I know of brand new RSX's that burn oil... I hink it's a honda thing lol

This is true that All the H22 burns oil especiall v-tec. Is a normal thing for these prelude because i work on a lot of prelude and they all burn oil. Just check your oil once every 2 weeks and u should be ok. Spend the $$$ and go with K series or Type R, but this is not the topic so i stay away. Good luck with your choice.
H22 is a little to heavy, but bigger cc and more torque.

ya definately. My car is a testament to that as well. My engine has minimum 250,000kms on it (130,000-150,000kms since i've had it) and its been boosted for the last 2 years of its life. Its seen more than its fair share of abuse, from track days, to runs on the dyno and daily driving it year round.
I've been using regular dino oil (changed very regularly) and also kept up on the maintainance and it burns very little oil if any at all, b/c I never have to top up the oil between oil changes.
