distributor

Going through the haynes manual, I checked for contenuity, it's good, also checked the resistance on primary and secondary, both with in spec. Now it also says check for battery voltage on white/blue wire, and I have 9,4v.

At the black/yellow I have 11.92 v my question is , is the igniter pooched? should the voltage be at 12 v or very close as the black yellow is. I didn't disconnect the wire from the icm just probed it attached to icm.

SYMPTOMS:

-On occasion it feels like I'm loosing the spark then it kicks back in.

-On occasion when I start the car rpm fluctuates during warm up even though the car was just running say half hour earlier. The rest of the time when I start it up cold it idles fine around two thousand rpm and slowly drops down to 950

-only a couple times when going to start up it turns over much longer, but happened only two, or three times.

-during acceleration it doesn't feel smooth, I feel more of a very slight miss or hesitation, like something holding it back and is off/on all the way through rpm.

ENGINE: B18c gs-r
Distributor: TEC with the Tan/ brown ICM but looks old

I cleaned the connections on the primary connections, and there was some green corrosion on the coil where the spring slides onto. I also noticed a little up and down play from the piece of the coil that the spring slides on. Should I just replace both parts?

forgot to mention, cap, rotor, wires and plugs are all new. No cel as well.

replaced the coil today, cost me nothing. but the problem still persists, I checked for codes, check engine light is off, has a stored code of 43 fuel supply system. Could a lazy o2 sensor cause this? I had the cel come on one morning but ever since then it has never come back on, and that was about a month ago.

Checked the resistance on the injectors, and they all check out ok. Gonna try a fuel filter even though I don't think that is the culprit.

From What i read through the forums it seems like if it were the ignitor the car would just stop running, where as I am getting a hesitation at low rpm and it feels like it's ignition, but aside from replacing the distributor, the coil is used but in much nicer condition, wires are ngk new, cap rotor and plugs all new. Not sure what else could cause this, I don't have an erratic rpm gauge either. Fuel pumps a bit pricey, wonder if it could be a relay?

For code 43, it is very likely a bad o2 sensor. I had the same problem, cel went away with new o2.

Thing is the check engine light isn't on. It came on one morning, I shut the car off and re started it and now the light is off and has been ever since. It stored the code but has never come back on. I just wish what ever it is would just die or trigger the cel so I could replace whatever it is. I am gonna do a fuel filter anyways cause I have no idea when it was last done.

D.T.P. When the code came on for you did you have any drivablity issues as I have stated above? Slight hesitation or bog at low rpm and then it's fine?

Well I found the problem to my drivability issues, and it wasn't the distributor. I went and got a new O2 sensor, lucked out and it wasn't seized. So I was able to change it in the drive way.
