Distributor Problems.

I have a second gen b16a (jdm) in a 97 ek hatch and i am using a conversion harness with a p28 ecu.

problem is that i didnt have a obd2 dizzy so i use a obd1 dizzy and rewired the wires to use the two plug harness rather then the single that you get with the obd2. i wired it so that the wires correspond to what they are meant to be for (so i did not do a conversion).

the problem i am getting is that the engine starts but idle's super low and then when i accelerate the throttle it rev's a little up and then it kinda bogs so i would have to tap the pedal to keep the engine running or it would die out.

i am getting an engine code 4 which is CKP (crank position sensor) which is inside the dizzy. so i am wondering if the dizzy is bad? any help guys?

btw can iacv cause my motor to not rev properly either? or is that strictly for idle? cuz i havent repinned the iacv yet on the harness.

iacv is strictly for idle.

dunno about your dizzy issue to be honest. I'm a believer in keeping the same OBD as the chassis

you wired it up wrong.. theres a proper chart to follow

Zeeman made mine awhile ago, no problems since, didnt have to hack up my harness or dizzy either.

Did you get this figured out since you called me Jay?
I'm guessing so since you didn't call me to come give you a hand.
