Disc Type Injectors vs Ball And Seat

Just curious about the different type of injectors.

I have heard that the modern disc type will yield better MPG then a ball and seat injector

Is this true?

Performance and fuel mileage will be more dependant on how well it's tuned then the type of injector.

Tuning for sure will effect fuel mileage but the disc type are typically known to be better on MPG then the ball and seat. I use a pretty big injector but I went from a precision 1600cc to a ID1000cc with the same power but a little better MPG, but then again MPG is not really my concern for my setup LOL.

Low comp turbo d-series right?

I believe you should be able to do that with less than 80% duty cycle.

To compare, our MR2 is a 1.6L (same size) dohc 16 valve low compression motor on a 60trim t3 turbo running 15.5psi boost with DSM 440's at about 80-85% duty cycle. AFR at wot is around 11.5-12.5:1.

However, we're also still running the stock FPR and fuel pump.
