D16 to B16?

you'll pay a premium at either of those two places.
Get out the phone book and start calling junkyards/importers. I've had good luck with tiger japanese, but you have to know what you're looking for when dealing with those guys.

Honestly I would love to do it myself, i really would, but not sure if i'm ready to play with the elctronics aspect of it. As far as i know, it should be a straight swap, d16y8 to d15b, engine to engine, tranny to tranny. Although I wouldn't need to change my tranny as mine is still going strong....no problems.

Actually there is a customs DIY shop in Brampton not too far from my house, where you can rent tools, do work on your own car, even a paint booth in there. I might check out there to see if they have the necessary tools to do a swap. would any experienced guys (or girls want to help?

Honestly A b16 is not that fast My old d16y7 (rip) would only lose by half a car length in a race
A d15b with a turbo would be much more fun and much easier to source parts and if you wanted to turn up the boost you don't have to wrecking that nice b16
but then again it comes down to budget A D15b lsd tranny is about $300 a B16 lsd is about $1000.00 (this doesn't incude special deals this is everyday pricing if you were to need it asap)
but the power potential is much higher with a B16
but a boosted D is way faster than a stock B16
the motor swap is easy to put in it's almost a no brainer if you can do your brakes you can do a swap there is more than enough info on Honda-tech on doing it
If you need a hand with the wiring shoot me a Pm if I were you and i had a garage I would do it in a heartbeat it's something that will give you so much insight into how your car works
you only need a basic metric toolset + a 32mm socket and good breaker bar + An engine hoist
it's worth saving the labour cost and putting that into a performance mod

Thanks guys I appreciate the input and the help. I bought the engine swap book, and i'm reading up on it, because where i am right now, I've decided to swap my "dying" d16y8 for a d15b.
i would like to upgrade the clutch and flywheel at the same time, because I plan to go turbo next year sometime.... in all honesty, I would be satisfied even putting out 160-180 hp, which I'm sure is not alot of psi

LOL Bwek, I have changed my own brakes before, but would you really say that the jobs are at the same difficulty level? To some degree i can see what you mean, as a straight swap like d16y8 to d15b is virtually plug-n-play. I think it's more the wiring I'm worried about.
I mean, I've changed my own brakes, alternator, stock air intake to CAI, but an engine swap? not sure if i've worked up that kind of courage........ (don't laugh)
don't get me wrong though, I'd really love to learn

just don't buy the d15b vtec-E dual stage vtec engine (the obd2 one) b/c its a pure economy engine.
Any other d15b will take a little bit of wiring to get to work properly in your obd2 car, but its nothing really to worry about.

The advantage with the lsd is to get power distributed to both wheels evenly.

For real, huh? Which leads to my next question...... Do i have to add the LSD when i swap my engine? or can that be done at any time? I'm planning on adding a stage 1 exedy clutch and lightened flywheel.
I know there's certain things i have to change while swapping the engine, but for the sake of $$$, i just need to know if i need to add the LSD same time while i have the tranny out, or can it wait?
