i have a story for you...

so last night i decided to do my compression test on my motor,
i drove about 5 min from my house to pick up my buddie, so when the test was done the motor was WARM... so i started off by pulling the ECU fuse.. removing the spark plug wires, and spark plugs..

Alright so now that i did that, i just did the basics, i put a little oil on the ring of the gauge so that its got a little lube on it... i do my first cylinder... crank over the motor 4-6 times & i get a reading of 175psi.. i release the compression build up.. un-screwed the gauge and moveed onto the next cylinder.. time goes to do cylinder two.. i do the same thing screw it in, and crank over the motor.. i get a reading of 155psi :|.. i was pissed once i saw that cause i know i am loosing compression...

well gentlemen.. when the time comes to take out the gauge.. it doesn't come out..:| it just stayed in there.. it got to the point were JUST the hose was spinning and not the actual piece... needless to say i was getting pissed..


Think thats the best part??... of course not.. i go back and check out cylinder one.. i look inside to find a piece of the ****ING GAUGE in cylinder..OHH needless to say im getting pissed now... so i got some needle nose plyers and i was able to unscrew it out of the cylinder..
so basically i have a piece of the gauge in my hand, while the other piece is screwed into the cylinder ;s... ( I KNOW I KNOW always CHECK the tool prior before sticking it into the hole.. haha i guess u can practice safe sex in and out of the bedroom hahahah)

Well guys now at this point the motor has cooled down, and i can tell this gauge is not moving @ all... i tried putting WD-40 into the cylinder to see if it would do anything.. it did nothing..i even went to the second option of using ATF just a little to see if it can get into the cracks... NOTHING...

after about 30 minutes.. i did something drastic.....

i decided to fire up 3 out of the 4 cylinders... i put the spark plugs back into cylinders connected the wiring, and put the ECU fuse back on...

THIS IS IMPORTANT... WHEN U START THE CAR, THE ENGINE OBVIOUSLY SOUNDS LIKE ****.. DONT REV IT!!!!! just let it idle.. i did that for about 5-8 minutes
until the temperature gauge started to heat up.. once it did, i turned the car off

let it sit for about a minute and SUCCESS!!!!!!!!! it came out..
whata sigh of relief !!!!!!


from what it seems like to me is, aluminum block got hot, once it cooled down.. gauge was stuck.. i had to heat it up to expand everything to get it out..

moral of the story.. ALWAYS check your tools
NEVER do a compression test on a hot/warm motor
& always have a nice cold one waiting.. trust me ull need it.. lol

BTW the ****ty part about this was that i was doing a DIY on this until things went horribly wrong..:|
