If you've ever done a heater flush you would know that the core itself is very weak and since those hoses have properly never been off they are probably on the core pretty damn tight, thus making you attempting to crack the seal with your hand (which wont happen) or with pliers. Or if you have a hose pick set, which he doesnt you can find the right pick and crack the seal around the core, then attempt to pull it off (the best option by far)

Since I dont work on cars, I guess I wouldnt know that almost every core with alot of km becomes weak and since its clogged there had to be some lack of maintence which would cause the core to be infact weaker. So, go grab that hose on that weak core and try to crack the seal. Guess whats going to happen 1/3 times? The core is going to flatten out. oh emm geee now I gotta take out the dash and replace the whole assembly because i listened to some moron on tcc when I could of just easily pulled the same amount of hoses/clamps off from the engine block and done the exact samething.

Keep on calling me the CT guy.. guess this guy who worked at CT knows more than you?

any dumb **** with a brain in his head would know that if the hoses don't come off with ease the you will have to try alternate ways, such as using a pick set...mose ppl know not to use excessive force in such an area....but i guess the CT guys 1/3 of the time dont and **** the core over...umm ya actually i wouldn't say you would know more than me because you are limited the the small amount of knowledge you get working in such a place. I have worked in a private shop and 2 dealerships so i've touched a car or 2 ....so you just keep on your hack job ways and i'll actually fix the cars
And just to end this discussion once and for all..the guy merely asked for help to work on his car....i gave information and i dont need some clown piping in just because he thinks he knows everything because he does oil changes at CT. I'm sure the guy has a solid head between his shoulders, is competent and will use the instructions to his discretion or would not be attempting the job.
