So my car got keyed... and I need some advice!

I got a pretty big scratch (about half my door) on the weekend and its not too deep. I went to CDN Tire to get scratch remover and as expected, it didnt work. My buddy told me that I should get some compound and fill it and then buff it and use touch up paint to put overtop it. Do you think this will work or do you have any other tricks I could do?

Scratch remover is wax that can buff out light swirls, not something that can remove keyed mark. If it is not that deep, tape the surrounding area and get matching spray paint for it. Do light coats and fine sanding in between. Clear coat after and then wet sand.

take it to a body shop...

dont do spray paint...it'll never match....spray paint looks ghetto.

what you can do is go to a good body shop and have them just repaint that door to match...

spray paint never blends right, and never matches.
