To putty or to replace - and where?
I got some damage on my car (98 EX), and I need to replace (possibly repair?) the driver side door panel.
I remember Bruno said it could be done for $300, but can someone recommend a body shop for me? There's a lot of places in the city, and I probably want to narrow down someone who's got the part on hand.
My mechanic said he'll fix it with putty for much less, but I don't think it can be restored to at least 95% that way.
Thanks!

they'll likely weld studs to it and pull it out with a sliding hammer. Then grind the studs, and smooth with filler. I'd go to a Honda dealer who has a shop in house, or ask someone where they've had a good experience. Or just go to a place that will guarantee their work... any place that deals with insurance will be good cuz they can't afford to lose the insurance contract if too many ppl are unhappy. Go there, tour the shop, make sure it's clean and look at their work. Have them show you EVERYTHING. If you think it looks okay, then fine. A body shop MUST NOT BE DIRTY!
