prepping for painting

k cars going in to be painted next week, but i told the shop id do all the prep/bodywork.

anyways im at the stage where i wanna sand the whole car down to accept the paint, so im wondering what grits i should be using, what order, and anything else iim gonna need to know, thanks

after sanding everything down.
make shure u put on a glove and then while sandin wit a fine grit u keep going over the spots u sanded wit the hand that has the glove on to feel any bumpy places which could mean minor dings that wer missed, rough spots etc....

what grit of paper should i be sanding with tho?

220 to scuff
then 320
then 320 water sand
then 600
then 600 watersand

you should be ready for the paint booth after that
