Winter Prepping: Rust related
Hey guys,
Well I saw snow fall today and I realized its time to winter prep my car. Now there's a few things I need to do:
Rust:
There's some rust in my rear wheel drive where it rusted before (but was supposedly fixed). Its not big, like half a size of my fingernail but I wanna get rid of it before it grows any bigger.
Scratches:
People have told me that it's not down to the metal but I'm just paranoid. It's on my trunk and my roof and I wanna seal it up so I can be certain that it won't rust over winter.
Rustproof:
Gotta spray my car and protect it heh.
Now I don't know whether or not to just leave everything as it is and save up over the winter and get a new paint job with a body kit when the snow melts or should I get rid of all the bad stuff now (which will kill cash which I need to get the body kit probably) and than wet sand the car which'll cost less than a new paint job.
So the question is, what do you guys think I should do? And do you know any places where I can get it done?
-Rich
BTW I'm joining TCC real soon as soon as I find some cash

Speaking of rust proofing, people recommend doing it every year before winter. I have had my car rust proofed by Honda before I bought it new 6 years ago and never had it sprayed with that oil thing ever again. Do you think I should do that every year or is Honda's initial rust proofing sufficient?

i would rust proof the car now.second..if they are gonan replace the rocker pannel, they are gona cut it out ,so if you fix it now or later ,it won;t matter.drive the car for the winter, and wash it often.......when winter is done, take the money you have adn buy a mugen front, sides are rear....replica...something clean.go to a body shop and ask to have your car wet sanded, and the rust fixed adn the kit put on...then enjoy
