Hey guys thanks for looking... I was out crussing wihta buddie i got infront of him and he said my 3rd brake light was out so we hit canadian tire and get a blub doesnt work. The old bulb was also fine checked the continuity with a multi meter there is no power coming from the socket for the light bulb. I pulled the tail light out to check if a harness came undone. I found a 2 wire harness (male) but i coundt find where to plug this in the harness is giving me a negative reading on the volt meter while the brake light is off and a possitive reading of 12 volts around there then i have the brake lights engaged. Is tehre a harness for this i coudnt see anything. Is there a relay for the 3rd brake light. any help is greatly appraicated. Thank you

these cars are notorious for rear harness problems causing lights not to work...my black Si had the same problem...I just painted the red lens black and forgot about it

at one point I just rewired the ground wire because thats the one thats generally a problem...check it using an alternate ground and see if it works

cynikal is correct, it's usually a ground problem.

I finially got it figured out. You know the wire loom that joins the body to the hatch for the 3rd brake light well it was cut inside the loom must have got sandwiched one day closing the hatch but thanx for all the help.
