dont tell me you think those wheels look nice . I just can see any other colour other than black looking decent but then again if you paint them black it would just look like brand new steelies. May as well throw some hub caps ,it can not look worse than driving on steelies

You should get the chrome hubcaps with spinners.

Most people don't like the look of steelies, and thats fine. I have nothing against that. They do look pretty ghetto...

I just don't like hub-caps and wouldn't want them on my car is all. Their only function is purely asthetic/cosmetic and in the winter when my car looks horrible cause I've got the front lip and skirts removed and it's covered in road salt and dirt, cheezy/wobbly hubcaps aren't gonna help make it look better...lol

I use steelies in the winter only for snow tires, because I know they will get dirty and the car is gonna look bad 90% of the time anyways. I don't mind the look of steelies, but I wouldn't use them as a nice summer rim. There are too many good deals on decent looking rims out there.

LOL front lip and skirts is also purely cosmetics

Anyways , you are right it really depends on taste. I actually drove with steelies all winter long because I just didnt care how my car look and I didnt want to spend money on hub caps. However if you are trying to make it cool to drive with steelies it just wont work. Painting them any colour other than black (red, blue) will just look ghetto or rice. Putting hubcaps will actually give them a much cleaner look. I m not even talking about chrome hubcaps but there are some decent ones.

Buddy of mine had some nice one that actually look like rims , and like you said , it is the winter so people dont really care.

On a side note , I do think people drive with steelies in the winter and avoid putting hubcaps to LET EVERYONE KNOW THESE are ONLY winter tires and that they DO HAVE rims

This year i m driving with my rims all year long , seriously is it worth changin it your rims for steelies if you already have good tires and there isnt really much snow to speak of ??? ... I left my 17s in my mazda 3 for 2 years and i had no problems at all

Haha, yeah. I admit, I do care what my car looks like (to a point), thus the skirts and front lip, but I don't go out of my way and spend money to install crazy body kits or funky coloured paint jobs. My car, cosmetically, is still stock. Infact I have removed the wing (didn't like it, too flashy for me and it doesn't do anything functional).

Last spring, I wanted lighter rims, so I traded my stock 15" SiR rims for lighter weight, (but same size) aftermarket rims. It was purely a pursuit of greater function and nothing to do with cosmetics. Though I did paint them to give the car a more unique look...costs next to nothing, figured why not?

To each his own.

i m somewhat the same. I think a cleaner look ( close to stock) looks a lot better thana flashy look ( body kit , crazy paint job, wings , stickers ) . But there is a thin line between a unique look and a ghetto or ricer look.

Maybe thats the reason i changed my mirror tints and i just went regular black tints. I also have a front and rear lip which looks perfect. No need for a bodykit as i find a lot of them to look too rice ( like they dont belong to the car) But hey , i used to like those stuff when i was younger. I guess its all about taste

I do however want to become a pay member to get a hold of those tcc stickers

just to clarify, it seems like you dont realise these are just my winter rims for my snow tires.. i dont want to just go black, simply because everyone has black steelies. i think just black is boring and i think hubcaps look plain stupid. ill probably go with a black with polished lip steelie to change it up, but well see, just want to do something a bit different and see how it turns out. otherwise my entire car exterior and interior is usdm/jdm stock, i dont really see whats wrong with trying to change up your steelies that you throw on for like 4 or 5 months of the year without being flashy and rice..

I hear ya. Might paint mine white to match my white summer rims, and if I don't like it, I'll just change it to somethings else.

When you finish painting yours, post up some pics so we can see the results!
