I would personally go with all black because winter time you don't really take time to clean them so any bright colour will attract attention to the dirty rims.
Maybe a red lip or something not so tacky. Again that's just my opinion, you do whatever you like better.

That civic with red steelies and whitewall tires is just disgusting, imo.
Like Scrid3r said, go with black and maybe a colored lip. I plan on doing mine gold for the winter.

I will be painting some rims soon, you should be thankful that steelies are so easy to paint. BBS replica mesh rims will be quite time consuming.
Polish the lip, tape it up and paint the rim black. Will look clean and not too flashy.

I'm sure the civic is on bags.
Plus everybody wants to look unique regardless if its ghetto or ugly to some.

I like what you have now, but if you're going to paint them, all black would look tasteful.

i know i seen those and want them so bad, but i would rather save for bodywork/swap. and sha, its just for my winter steelies because their all rusty and ****. idk i still think burgundy would look pretty sexy but more red-ish. or just a real dark red. i think ill either end up going with a real dark red/burgundy or a black rim with a polished or silver lip

LOL...all that negative camber looks SO stupid, imo...lol...

Anyways...yeah the red is a bit much.

I might paint my steelies white for next winter, just to be different and keep a similar look to my white summer rims.

Great thing about steelies is for very little money you can paint them any colour you want and if you don't like it, just change it again.

Why would you paint them? isnt easier to just put on some decent hub caps , it will look so much better . I rather drive a civic with hubcaps than with just steelies.

I drove my jetta on steelies for 2 months in the winter ( brand new ones) and as soon as i put on hubcaps ( crappy tire) everybody was saying that it looked so much better.

This year I m driving my civic with my rims on for the whole winter , I did it with my mazda 3 and it was perfect

EEEWWW...lol

(No offense, rick10.) I hate plastic hub caps/wheel covers. Always see them on other cars, all crooked and wobbly. Haven't seen any I like the design of either. Hit a big pot-hole and they can fall off. And the ones that are held on by the lug-nuts are a pain-in the ***! lol. They can crack and get scuffed and then they just look horrible. Sometimes they come loose and rattle....I could go on... lol...

I guess it's one of those things, for me, it's just a useless thing to 'dress up' your car, that isn't neccessary for the funtion of the vehicle.

If you use em and like em, by all means. To each his own.

they still look a lot better than painted steelies ... If steelies were so cool how come all the cars come with either rims or hubcaps.

Either buy proper rims or put hubcaps anything in between just looks odd . Sorry but painted steelies does look ghetto unless they are like the wheels someone showed above but i m guessing those ones are pretty expensive
