Neon kits are legal

Neon underglow kits ARE legal as long as they are not red. Ive heard so many stories and rumors that they are illegal and that the fine for them is 200$ a bulb. They said as long as they are below the rocker panels and do not present glare to surrounding motorists. I guess the red kits are illegal because red is the colour of stop or sumpin.

what i herd is that you can get any colour as long as you can't see the tubbing and can't see NOTHING besides the light you should be good, i've known people with all the colours and there good, just hide them under, see in my car unless you have the L.E.D's low profile your good, but i bought the toubs and DAMN, i returned them. Under my car is all flat

heres a suggestion if you want to do a little custom work..

take ur stock side skirts if u have any off, cut out the desired area so u can mount the on in inside of the skirt.. but the light will still shine through cuz u have cut this area out of the bottom of your skirt...

shine through where? down? that's ok, as long as you can't see the neon lights rods

if you ever get a ticket for that, you can go to court and win

i know some people that got a ticket for ti went to court and won.

like i said, put them on, make sure you can't see the rods not the lights, lol, just dont' be able to see the rod, DO NOT drive stupid, DO NOT go in and out of lines like your NASCAR do the speed limit and they wont bother you

i am gonna drive with them on cause i went straight to the cop shop and asked them myself, are they legal? they straight up said yes except for red. im gonna go back and get sumpin signed saying their legal. If cops do bug me, i can tell them to screw off.

I installed them tonight, they look pretty good, although the front and rear tubes are hard to mount, i managed to mount the rear one up on the bumper support, but where would i place the front tube?

nice thinking

Why don't you tape glow sticks to the bottom of your car.

I'm going to do that and tell my dad I got a neon kit for a good laugh.

ya just dont drive with them on and again i would say it is to the cops discretion if u get a ticket or not i had a warning for my exost the cop said i had two weeks to get it fixed then the next day i got pulled over and the cop gave me a ticket and wonted to here nothing about the warning so neons would be the same thing in my eyes

Hmm, yeah telling a cop to "screw off" that'll certainly land you in their good books. If it werent for kids being so rude to police when they get pulled over then we wouldnt have as many problems as we do. Learn some respect people, and do push the five-0 just because something you have is legal if they want to give you a ticket then trust me they will find away to do it. Trust me on this subject, Ive been pulled over about 15 times in 2 years and havent been hassled for anything ive done to my car and only received one ticket for speeding. And each time I get pulled over no matter how pissed off I am I always am polite and respectful to the officer even if he/she is a dick because if you cause problems for them then they will cause problems for you. And as far as the neons go why run them on the street if you dont have to? All it is is distracting to other drivers and believe me if you get in an accident or cause someone else to have an accident and they can prove that you had your neon lights on then they will try to peg it on you weather it was your fault or not. So use em at shows, in parking lots, what ever just not on the streets.
