Keyless Trunk Setup.

Whats up guys
i have keyless entry and and remot starter pager system
its setup for the doors and remote start, but it has 3 more channels and a trunk button. When i hit the trunk button, the screen only says "c3" for channel 3, but its not hooked up. I went to a performance shop and the guy said that since my car does not have an automatic trunk lock, that id have to get an remote actuator and set that up with the pager. and with the install it would be lik 200-300. i dont think i need a remote trunk that much. i have a 2000 (canadian  ) si

basically, is there any other way to do this?

get a acura 1.6 el trunk harness.
or the trunk itself on the classifieds section when they come up and remove the complete power trunk harness and lock and then wire it up to your car and then it will be working.
as for price trunks are around 150 bucks i see. well worth it for the oem factory finish then you can program the trunk yourself.

the solenoid only costs like 25 dollars so get that and install it yourself if you know how to and save yourself the money and buy something else with it.

some memebers here like the oem look and function of things like bruno and I. so for us we would rather just get the EL trunk and take apart the necessary components from it. which i recommend anyways.
