Yet Another 2Join Forced Induction Setup! D-Series GT28R Setup!!!

Hi all,

I have for sale yet another custom turbo setup that I want to sell. This one was going to be used on my personal D16Y8, and as you will see from the picture, and my descriptions, everything is in perfect condition. I take forced induction very seriously, and I wouldn't put junk on my car.

Also as an added bonus, some of you may be thrilled to hear that this setup is AC and PS compatible!!

This is the setup:





1. Garrett GT28R Turbo: Dual Ball Bearing GT28R Turbo assembly with internal wastegate assembly. .64ar turbine with 5 bolt exit. Very very Good response turbo for 4 Cyl applications. This turbo has a flow capacity of about 310HP.

Turbine
-Wheel: 53mm w/ 62 trim
-Housing: .64 ar

Compressor
-Wheel: 60mm w/ 60 trim
-Housing: .60 ar

This GT28R was used for only ~500km!! It is virtually brand new, with absolutely no shaft play. I had installed this turbo brand new for a customer, and he ran it for roughly one month, and decided to upgrade to a GT30R for his setup. I in turn bought the GT28R with the intention of using it on my D16Y8.

In my opinion, and after multiple compressor map calculations, this turbo is perfectly suited for the D-series engine looking to make 200-280whp with amazing response.

You will notice that the wastegate is un-attached. It is included, but was taken off during manifold fabrication.

I am also including the exhaust outlet gasket that came with the turbo, and an intake outlet elbow to help route your charge-piping! Both items are shown in the picture.

The center section has been properly sealed off the entire time it has been in my possession to prevent dust and dirt build up. It was stored in the original box, with all the cushions in place to keep it safe and out of harms way.

2. Custom WeirTech Manifold: Brand New! The manifold was custom made by Aaron at Weir-Tech. As some of you know he does fantastic work, and he provides a lifetime warranty on all his work as well.

This manifold was a pain to make because I had demanded it retain AC and PS functionality. It is very similair in design to the Edelbrock manifold, whereby the turbo sits at a slight angle. Oil drainage is 100% functional.

3. Custom WeirTech Downpipe: Brand New! Once again, this downpipe, just as the manifold was made by Aaron at WeirTech, and it comes with a lifetime warranty.

This is a full 3" downpipe, allowing for very good exhaust gas evacuation!! It also features two O2 bungs, one at the top, and one at the bottom, for added versatility. I think of everything.

4. Megan Racing Intercooler: Brand New! 22" long, 11.75" high, and 3" wide. It also has a 3" inlet/outlet. It also features four mounting holes. Two at the top, and two at the bottom.

5. DSM 450cc Injectors: These injectors are off the newer generation DSM, and have been cleaned and flow tested to ensure they are in optimal working condition.


This is an almost complete setup, but in order to finish it you will require at least the following:

- Charge Piping
- Blow Off Valve
- Engine Management
- Gauges
- Fuel Pump
- Oil/Coolant Lines

Not much


Asking Price: $1600 Firm

Reason for Selling: Going for more power

This is a very good quality setup, and the turbo alone sells for $900US/$1200CAD. My price is more then reasonable, so please refrain from sending lowball offers as it only comes across as an insult.
