no point in getting philips too expensive
Just get a plug and play HID kit, very bright, looks beautiful
Picked up mine from OptionJDM
Prolumen
EDIT: don't get the bulb replacements.... i know someone who has it and IN MY OPINION they look allright but i think OEM lights are better for seeing... they are more looks and if your going to spend **.99 on just bulbs from CC might as well pick up a good set for a little bit more money and be alot more satisfied

But why buy something 3X times more expensive when soemthing with proven customers and technology works fine for a much better price
EDIT: thats how i decided on what kit to buy... people had history with certain brands and after reading about it went with it

I went with a Mcullough HID kit and have had it nearly 2 years now with now problems. And I picked it up for around $200 . Mcullough was one of the original companies to put out an aftermarket HID kit and they are still one of the best.

and any other aftermakret hid kit can range from like $200- $350-$400
So pretty much?
Unless the price of the kits dropped

is there FULL philips kits? or just bulbs pretty much?
depends what your looking at alot of people sell New hid kits on the forums for like $250 a pop (no tax b/s/t)
vs $512 (picking the more epensive one you posted) + tax
Now i'm not arguing that the philips kit is about 80% better then your avg kit and that it'll probably last longer but originally he was thinking about just changing bulbs , i just suggested that there are better alternatives that aren't MUCh more expensive and getting a more efficient out put in light

well read his post...he doesn't wanna do the cheap way of just changing the light bulb, he wants the kit(which imo is HID-hopefully) and he said philips not any other brands. seems like the guy wants it so i'm just telling him where to get it

i also have a Mcullough KIT .. and my driver side bulb just died ... how do i go about replacing the bulbs ? do i have to go with the same K that i bought it with ? or will a higher K bulb work as well ... ive been told the ballast may blow bulbs that arnt rated with the same K it was sold with so if i bought my Mcullough kit with 5400K bulbs do i have to replace them with 5400K or can i go to like a 4300K bulb ? or higher to a 6000K if i wanted ?
whats the process for Mcullough ??

I think you guys are fooled by the visible light output. the frequency of the HID light is sufficiently different from street lighting, so you notice the light pattern better and you therefore think you must also see better. in fact, if you put a stock car in pitch dark, vs a HID kitted car in pitch dark.... I guarantee 100% the stock lighting system will beat the HID kitted car.
for the record, I've had the following light mods:
90/100 phillips rallye bulbs from the UK
Osram 55/60 bulbs from Germany
McCullough 6000K HID kit
Narva 55/60 Gold from France
and currently OEM 2002 BMW 3 series bixenon HID retrofit (4300K)

you didnt provide him with a real phillps kit. you provided him with a xenondepot kit.
a real phillips kit starts at 900 and can go up to 3 grand.
