i have another set of hids i want to throw on my car for the 99-00 fogs but the problem i am having is that the bulb is too long and hits the metal shield built into the foglight....any suggestions on what ican do? it just needs the thickness of a loonie or quarter less for it to clear and not rub against the metal shield

gotta get the proper size...u can try shaving it and do a custom fit but prob wont work out too well...i have HIDs in my fogs and i love them

it is the proper size my foglights are h3 bulbs and so is my kit only thing is that the bulbs are a bit longer than the regular h3 bulbs due to them being hids.....u think if i drilled a hole in the metal shield so the bulb slides threw it that it would affect the lighting pattern or quality??? or if i removed the shield completely.....

if you remove the shield completely, you will blind the incoming traffic ... even if you drill a hole the same thing will happen ... your best bet would be to set the bulbs farther back with maybe an adaper plate ...
