HID Question
Yeh I'm n00b here and somehow I figure someone already asked this question, however the search function on the forum doesn't appear to be working for me.
Are HID 'blue-ish' looking lights legal in ontario? I'm looking on JDMParts and the pictures show the 6000K and 8000K which look great but I don't want any trouble.
Is it the color that catches cops attention? Brightness? Misalignment? Or the fact they just think all civic owners are punk kids?
Your thoughts on this?
Also, I'm sure I could ask the shop but ultimately how do I know which HID kit fits my car? It's a 2006 Civic Si.

There's a law about how 'bright' a headlight is allowed to be... it's somewhere in the highway traffic act I think.
I haven't been bothered yet and I'm running some blue-ish looking lights.
Swapping HID bulbs in to replace stock causes oncoming drivers to absolutely hate you I'd highly recommend looking for a housing+lens kit (or a DIY lens setup) to give you a properly aimed/focussed/cut beam. The horizontal cutoff will keep most of the brightness out of oncoming drivers eyes.
I did a straight swap and I think some truckers are after me
Cheers

if you just want a plug and play HID kit, i have the 9006 bulb Denso kit from hidexpert.com. little pricey, but it works, cuz its OEM stuff being used.
