Hid Problem
can someone help me out here. i got HIDs for my ek and installed them last nite. they only work when my headlights are on high beams and when i turn my car off they flicker. is there a way that the hids can work without the high beams being on? thanks in advance.

when you did the wiring, you must have accidentally swapped the positive lead of the lowbeam with the highbeam/drl (providing you have a 99civic si with the h4 connector. Once u get that sorted out, turn off the hid before you turn off your car.

Projector style headlights are better but, only those that are OEM projectors. Aftermarket projectors tend to emit a "spot light" effect on the road as apposed to a proper dispersal and cut off point. I've got em with regular reflectors and yes, it does seem to scatter light more so than OEM projectors but, it's all in the aim I find. You've really gotta screw around with it for a bit to get a tolerable light dispersal. My opinion.

they're alot better than reflector housings.. there's no glare and you get a pretty good cutoff.. the only thing, like Buddah said, there's a bit of a spot light effect on the road.. there's also two screws on the back of the projector headlights.. I believe one is for up and down and the other is for left and right..
