ABS plastic VS. Urethane
A lot of ppl sell ABS plastic lips and some say they are fine others say they break....
now urethane cost more and are more durable...
I dont want to spend 2 much on front/rear lips....but they are cheaper if i get the abs plastic
any1 can vouch for the quality of abs plastic?

ABS plastic is alright but not that great. I have an ABS plastic lip and it cracked because I rubbed it on the curb at the end of my driveway on a cold day. Urethane is much more resilient but then again, I bought the ABS lip to cover up the gaping hole in my Honda urethane bumper from hitting a chunk of ice on a cold day. Everything breaks when you hit it right so you could have an ABS lip for 20 years and it would be great or you could have it for 1 day and it would be broken. Same thing goes for urethane but it takes a lot more to break it.

if your going for weight reduction and dont mind being limited to a few types of lips then get the abs plastic one its more brittle but its worth the money you pay for it.
me personally as a bodyman would recommend abs plastic over urathane because 1 its easy to replace, cheap in cost, weights less (by a tonne) etc.

Both ABS and PolyUrthayne are very good. Polyurthayne will flex a bit more. This can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. ABS is more ridged so there is more chance of it braking under minor impact, expecially in the cold of Canada. Regardless both are better then fiberglass.
