I have a friend in Vancouver who grafted a USDM Teg front end to his EG hatch.

I know that he had to cut the factory fender and the teg fender either in the middle or off to one end of the fender, then weld the 2 pieces together. As for the bumper, I believe you need to use the Teg rad supports and rebar...you will also need to weld that onto the existing Civic unibody. He did his cut right behind the headlights on the sides of the unibody frame. This way the headlights will bolt right up, as will the bumper. I know he did all the welding and fitting himself. After he got it all set, he brought it to a body shop to smooth off the welds, and paint.

The conversion is quite intensive, and for anybody who thinks it's easy...yes, it CAN be done easier. If you do it the cut and hack, and make it fit sloppy way. But, if you want it clean and professional, my description above is a brief summary of what needs to be done...

No way anyone can do a professional job for 250 without paint and parts. Cuz there is alot of labour work that needs to be put into the front end conversion such as cutting and welding and spot eyeing etc...

Man, I was under the impression for some reason that since they share their chassis, that they also could potentially share body panels as a bolt on affair....so I figured labour for R&R...simple no? But if it is as itensive as the dude above says it is, then...I couldn't say. I thought everything would just bolt up... with the exception of the front bar... :shrugs: I guess just more misinformation on the net that I read and stuck in my head. Just try it yourself and see what happens.
