no negative comments, but if you're doing a conversion you should do a JDM front end on your car man, it's been done before and it looks pretty good too :nods:

Well to do the conversion i believe there will be some cutting etc needed. So you will have to take it to a bodyshop

GrEeNcIvIc 02-Jan-2003 01:03 PM

dont you also need the hood?

imported_Team Rukus 02-Jan-2003 01:20 PM

yup u need everything for the complete front end

Agreed. Your best bet is to shop around for a body shop to do the work for you. This doesn't really sound like a job that you would want to tackle yourself unless you have the proper equipment and knowledge. Just call around, and tell them that you already have all the parts.

imported_streetXtreme 02-Jan-2003 02:17 PM

i have the hoood as well

Sassafrass 02-Jan-2003 03:23 PM

Ya

I love that conversion, I almost bought everything to do it on my EG too. Theres some cutting and welding invloded, make sure the body shop you choose, welds and doesn't use filler!!!!!

Your car is gonna look sick!

thanks for the suppport sassafrass...
a lot don't really like this....
everyone has their own tastes...
so anymore input guys?

bbarbulo 03-Jan-2003 01:01 AM

If you already have the parts, just do it!! I think it' would be nice, a LX with the teg front...go for it! Should be relatively straight forward, except for the hood crossmember thingy, where the hood latches...joo know what I mean, right? :D

imported_streetXtreme 03-Jan-2003 01:39 AM

i think i know what you mean....
so is there going to be any cutting and welding?

imported_Team Rukus 03-Jan-2003 01:49 PM

why dont u check it out
take ur front end off and see if the teg fenders alignup etc
if they do the only problem i see here might be the fact that the holes for the bolts dont line up

imported_streetXtreme 05-Jan-2003 04:06 AM

i found out that the conversion will cost $3000
and thats just labour.....anybody got a better price...

bbarbulo 05-Jan-2003 04:35 AM

That's booooo-sheeet!!
http://www.jdmhondaparts.com/project...s/banner_1.jpg

No way it would take $3000 to do it...with paint for the front end $1500 max! Talk to MartinGouda, he has a place he dealt with. Also, dented dx has a place too, since he just had his done in green.

It's so easy...more or less bolt on. You're getting ripped at this new place. Maybe $3000 for like a S2000 front end to get grafted on in just labour, but not with the integra front end. They dont' know what they are talking about.

imported_Team Rukus 05-Jan-2003 04:54 PM

i can do wit for u for less that 1 grand pm me

Rivers 06-Jan-2003 12:30 AM

GO FOR IT MAN! Thats shits gonna look sick!.. i wanna do a JDM ITR to egsedan..hopefully this summer

:yummy:

imported_streetXtreme 06-Jan-2003 12:46 AM

yah....i don't wanna spend much money....
not even 200....
never mind 1000....

bbarbulo 06-Jan-2003 10:21 AM

Well, do you need to paint it or not? If you need paint, forget it, materials alone cost over $200...that's just primer, paint, clearcoat....nothing else. It costs about $1000 to paint a front end right, plus labour into the part where the hood latches. That's why I said about $1500.

imported_streetXtreme 06-Jan-2003 02:46 PM

i have all the parts...
i am getting a full paint job anyways...
so all i need is someone to install it..

bbarbulo 06-Jan-2003 03:15 PM

For the install, they should charge no more than $250, esp if they are doing the paint too!
