I still think Blue-Ray will pull ahead and eventually be the standard.
But for now, i'm happy with my dvd collection

although you have to admit Sony has a bad track record of effectively licensing their formats and keeping them too proprietary...
BetaMax
ATRAC3
MemoryStick
DAT
UMD (which only Sony Pictures uses now...)
those are all the ones i can thikn off the top of my head...
that PLUS Sony won't allow **** to be carried on Blu-Ray, while HD-DVD will... i think that's a HUGE market also...

Updated...Bought pool table last night and Bedset
5500.00 for the bed, 3400 for the pool table
I have been doing nothing but saving the last 3 years for a house. Bought the house 18 months ago and kept saving for house stuff. My wife and I both drive POS Civics and jus save save. Now that I am moving in this weekend..in the last week I bought the bed, pool table and the sony Lcd. 5500,3500,5000 and more to come. The civic is the best car to save $$ almost no maintenance and cheap on gas. More house stuff to come but then hopefully a new car this summer so that we can have one nice vehicle.

Most i've spent, is as usual and always on my car.
$5000 in one day cash, for motor and performance goodies.
Car audio:
JL Audio 1000/1 amplifier, 450/4 Amplifier, CDT Audio Carbon Fiber Component speakers, Alpine IVA-D900 indash monitor, JL 13W7 Subwoofer.
Of Coarse, working for a JL Audio Dealer helped with pricing, if I had to pay retail i'd be over the 4G mark just on the JL product alone.
Retail value of all stereo equipment in the car is close to if not over 10k, not including install......which for me is almost nothing being a custom audio installer!
If I could go back in time I WOULD, and invest my money into a more promising investment! lol......... my wife shakes her head everytime she goes over just howmuch money i've put into a 94 Honda Civic SI coupe.
