Video Editing Software ??

I need software to take video off of my sony DV cam .. i have a firewire cable/ sony usb cable and need some software .. the Ulead software im trying worked once but now its giving me problems .. theres gotta be an easier solution to this .. anyone ??

Try Adobe Premiere. I have heard some good things about it.

ya thats what i heard to .. ill try that and let yall know what happens.. im tryin to get the other 1/2 of the cruise video off my camera now .. i have the 1st half but had to stop it cause i was goin out .. ill update yall when i get it finished

Since this is about videos.. I dont want to start a new thread.. So i will post my own question in this.

I am making a movie more or less. I am making it out of video clips. So its made on a digi cam and its clips of me biking and doing stunts. Now i wanted to know wut program out there would let me input text during the movie, add hit video clip into one, so it is consecutive and to add music.

Just use windows movie maker, its super easy to use, and the results are half decent. Its not a professional program like Adobe Premiere, but its good enough for stuff you shot on your mini DV cam

you can even try Pinnacle Studios... its inbetween Windows Movie Maker, and Adobe Premiere... has almost all the options Premiere does... a lot cheaper.. and is super easy to use...
