Varadaro Cuba. Anyone been there?

Varadaro Cuba. Anyone been there?
So the fiance and I have decide to go away to get married in November. Our families don't have alot of cash and aren't too traditional, so we are skipping the usual church ceremony and reception.
A friend from work who travels alot suggested a Sandals Resort. They are ultra-inclusive (everything is included) and cater to honeymooners and marriages. The one in Varadaro is relatively new and looks pretty sweet. Any comments on Varadaro or Cuba in general. Anyone have any other nice places to go to?

The Sandals' resorts are not as good as *they* think they are. But, they are clean, have good food, are safe and have nice beaches. You can find a lot better (but, a lot more expensive!), especially in Jamaica, but they are a good general recommendation.
, BTW...

Thanks Anthony. I like the Iberostar Resorts myself, but their wedding packages are really expensive. The Sandals will suit our needs. Oh, we looked into a few in Jamaica but I was told that the island isn't one othe cleanest or nicest places you could visit. The Sandals in Varadaro will cost us about $4000 for the two of us taxes inc.

I went to Varadaro 4 years ago, very clean place and the people were very friendly. Like anywhere else be careful when going into town.
I'm sure you'll have a blast.

The Sandals at Ocho Rios is wonderful.
For the best, check out Sans Souci or Ciboney. Both in Ocho Rios. Fabulous all inclusives...

I was at Sandals Hicacos last year in Cuba.... 5 star... I must say it is a great place to stay .....and would be a very senic place to get married ... It is not for children though at all . Couples only ...The 2 best in Varadero right now are sandals hicacos and Paradisus.... I am staying at paradisus this year . My family has been to Paradisus twice and have hasd nothing but great things to say ... And my mother should know. She is in incentive travel and has been all over the world ......
